Teh Halia

Teh Halia

Teh Halia (Ginger Tea). Teh Halia is a herbal beverage made from ginger root. It’s originally an Asian hot drink which is very popular in Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. In Malay, Teh means Tea and Halia means Ginger. This is my very last Teh Halia drink (with condensed milk) at the old Tanjong Pagar railway station. Tanjong Pagar railway station was officially shut down in June 2011, so I have been there on its last day to have my last Teh Halia and to take the last train from Singapore to Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
